International Volunteer Day

Hello World! I'm back. And I could not be more pleased to let you know that my friend Sultan Sandur is organizing the International Volunteer Day event in Kamloops tomorrow. If you can, I would highly recommend that you check it out. Sultan is a highly accomplished, community involved recent University graduate. And if he is involved, it should be very good. Here is the info he sent me:

International Volunteer Day takes place in various communities across the globe on December 5th each year and is officially recognized by the United Nations as a day on which volunteers are recognized and celebrated for their contributions and dedication.

Here in Kamloops, Volunteer Kamloops has partnered together with local businesses and TRU World (the international department aWt TRU) to host an International Volunteer Day Event that will take place at TRU’s newest building; the International Building on Dec. 5th from 2-5pm. The event will consist of booths from various non-profit organizations and a venue for interested individuals to gain more information about volunteer opportunities in the community. Furthermore, the event will also celebrate, embrace, and showcase the variety of volunteer work that has been taking place in our community.
